SAP is honored to have three of its channel executives named to the prestigious list of 2019 CRN Channel Chiefs:
- Karl Fahrbach, senior vice president and chief operating officer, Global Partner Organization
- Diane Fanelli, senior vice president and general manager, Global Platform Channels
- Marc Monday, vice president and head of Channel Sales, SAP North America
The top IT channel leaders included on this list continually strive to drive growth and revenue in their organization through their channel partners. CRN’s recognition is yet another proof point that SAP is driving the innovation story for its partners and customers.
Each of these 2019 Channel Chiefs has demonstrated exceptional leadership, vision, and commitment to their channel partner programs. Channel Chief honorees are selected by CRN’s editorial staff based on their professional achievements, standing in the industry, dedication to the channel partner community, and strategies that drive future growth and innovation.
This recognition coincides with SAP’s 2019 shift away from application-led value to partner-led customer innovation, with the creation of a next generation ecosystem.
In this new ecosystem, partners are encouraged to develop their own IP on SAP Cloud Platform. IDC says SAP partners focused on creating and selling their own software in the Cloud will grow the fastest, at 24 percent between 2018 and 2024.
This new strategy leads SAP partners away from strict resales and implementations towards a broader role in helping customers become Intelligent Enterprises. Partner performance is measured on customer lifetime value and customer success.
IDC expects that this transformation will offer more than $200 billion of net-new revenue opportunity to SAP partners by 2024, doubling the current partner economy. More than 60 percent of that new opportunity will be in the cloud.
Fahrbach, Fanelli, and Monday say SAP will stand shoulder to shoulder with partners to ensure the SAP technologies they adopt are partner-ready from the beginning, and that they receive the right support as they innovate and take their solutions to market.
The 2019 CRN Channel Chiefs list, including the 50 Most Influential Channel Chiefs, is featured online at www.crn.com/channelchiefs and will appear in the February 2019 issue of CRN.
